IPL, sometimes called photorejuvenation, uses broadband light to reduce the appearance of sun damage, including brown spots, excess blood vessels, and redness. Photorejuvenation may also improve fine lines and texture, giving the skin a softer, smoother feel. Patients should not initiate treatment if there has been any sun exposure in the last 30 days or when planning to spend time in the sun for 30 days following treatment.
